Weeeeeeeeee!!!! Today is my birthday!! I'm in a FANTASTIC mood and so I've attempted to compress that fantasticness into one blog post, combining my pyjamas (cutest ever, am I right?), poladroid (I've never had the fortune of owning a proper polaroid camera so this is the next best thing) and, well, me! What more could you want?
Today I am only going to do things that make me happy, and staying in my pjs all day is one of those things. Although, I have come VERY close to wearing this dress when I go out because it just so gosh darn freaking adorable. (I added the ribbon myself, because you can never have too much ribbon. True story.)
I made a nice little post on my tumblr about 19 things I like, check it out yo! I also posted my Official Birthday Song.

I stayed up til about 2 am last night listening to the Glee soundtrack. And you know what? I can't really think of a better way to spend the wee hours of the morning. Damn that's a good show. This gives me goosebumps fo realz. Anyway, the last thing I did before going to bed was choose this outfit, which is something I've decided I'm going to get into the habit of doing because, crazy person I am, my mornings are a big basket of non-inspiration while late at night there's nothing I'd rather do than dress up. Seriously, more often than not I wander around in my pjs and heels. It's a lovely sight.
So, outfit. I like it. Don't love it but I like it. Kinda slouchy and sack-like but in a good way. (I couldn't really see it because my fringe is SO FREAKING long. Hair dresser, here I come.) I like the shades of purple together though. Good work, 2 am-me.

P.S. I've just joined chictopia, you can find me here. Still working my way around it, but looks like fun! Let's be frieeends! (If you're not a member then it's totes easy to join, and you can use my referral code LISAGRACE999.)
Just a quick note to bring attention (ie shout out 'look at me! Look at me!') to my new header. I've been meaning to fix it up for months so yayyyyyy! (I would've done it sooner but sometimes my laziness wins over my perfectionism. See also: complete chaotic mess that is my bedroom.) I've come up with what I think is a clever analogy (it probably isn't, but whatever): a header is like the hairstyle of a blog. Exactly what that means, I'm yet to determine. So definitely not that clever... I'm rambling. My point = blog is prettier now! Hooray!

I've had a very lazy afternoon (I'm not going to make a comment about the percentage of this blog that is made up of me talking about my laziness. I'm not I'm not I'm not.) Anyway, it's exactly what I needed after a morning shift of work (that involved waking up at 6 - UGH - the things I do for money, gosh...)
Inspired a bit by Beach House, whose dreamy and tranquil music has perfectly suited my mindset today. Sometimes there's just nothing better than lying on your bed and listening to music, you know? Oh, and I like this song the best.
Of course, a floaty dress helps too. I got this one for christmas and I have a feeling it was made for sluggish summer afternoons.
What's your favourite way to relax?

"When I get sad I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story."
- Barney Stinson
Replace the word 'awesome' with 'fabulous' and you've got my new motto!*
Step one in being fabulous (you know it's serious when there are steps involved): invest in a tiara. I've had this one since before I reached double digits and I'm pretty sure I love it more now than I did then. Seriously, whenever I'm feeling blue or bored I just pop it on and I instantly feel a little more tremendous. Definitely a recommended technique. (It's also a ridiculously photogenic object, which is handy because I never tire of taking photos of it.)
*Not that 'awesome' doesn't work. Barney is proof enough of that. Really I just wanted an excuse to use this quote.
P.P.S. I spent a good five minutes trying to think of a better pun than 'crown-tastic' but I couldn't. I'm sorry, internet, I've let you down.

Thought I'd try something a little different (woah! Innovation!) and shoot inside. Me in my natural environment, you know? It was... difficult. My room is a total cluttered mess, I could barely move the tripod without knocking something over, but I managed to find a nice-ish spot in front of my poster-laden wardrobe doors. I think it looks okay?
Anyway, OH MY GOD SHOES. I love these shoes. Like, really love. I think I could start a committed relationship with these shoes. Okay, getting weird - point is, they're nice shoes. They're super comfortable and make me feel like I'm wearing tiny foot monsters that could possibly terrorise a 1950s Japanese city a la Godzilla. Or something.

P.S. One of my FAVOURITE favourite songs at the moment. I lurrve it, so good. Mm. Totes jealous of all those who'll be catching Passion Pit at Big Day Out.
P.P.S. I made the blog layout a little wider because it was boring me. Does it work? I can't decide.

Honey, I'm home! Southbound was amazing, you guys, GOSH, amazing. For more deets and some sweet photos visit my tumblr.
Wearing some old school bling today - I won this zebra ring at a birthday party YEARS ago and have barely worn it since. And I've finally figured out how to get this vintage man's ring (it was made for a man after all) to stay on my finger! Just pop on a couple of little silver rings on either side. Easy. And finally, I never ever get tired of my lil' button rings. A nice combination, wouldn't you agree?
And also, yes, I'm wearing two belts. I'm not convinced it works but it reminds me of that Friends episode David Thewlis was on where he drunkenly exclaimed, 'I'm wearing two belts!' (Bummed I can't find a youtube clip of it because I'm positive no one will have a clue what I'm on about. If you do however I'll be your best friend forever.)
P.S. I know. I KNOW. But it's just such a addictive song, okay? Ra ra ah ah ah... I dare you not to finish that line. I DARE YOU.

Oh, lazy day. I almost forgot what you looked like for a moment. Here's some stuff that's happened: I've watched Sherlock Holmes, Wild Child and Enchanted (GREAT combination, right?), I've worked, I played guitar hero for the first time and discovered I'm actually quite good at it (who knew?), I've dealt with problems rationally (I'm growing up!) and I've been preparing for Southbound (ahh! Excitement!) but more on that tomorrow, sneaky wink.
I like this outfit; it's slouchy, comfortable, good for lazying around. And this top, mmm - gotta learn how to tie dye. It's easy, right? And how cute are these rings? They used to be buttons. They are literally cute as a button.

P.S. I know I'm neither wearing jeans or clothes I've had on for days but I've been listening to The View and it's just a really good song, okay?

...my badge collection! I just couldn't resist sharing it with you. And to spend the afternoon having a delightful little photo shoot, of course.
Most of these are actually gifts from people - apparently it didn't take long for word to get out about my slight badge obsession. Hey, no complaints here! My favourite one is the Robin one; I always feel a little braver with him on my side.

My first outfit of 2010! And what a year it's been so far. I spent last night at a mate's place (way better than a club, in my opinion) with my wonderful wonderful friends and we danced, drank, hugged, cheered and had a pretty downright awesome time. A great start to what I have decided is going to be a GREAT year. Got it? Good.
I bought this top a couple days ago in the sales and I LOVE it. Seriously, I don't think these photos do it justice. And is it just me, or am I totally channelling Clarissa Darling here?
And the badges - OH the badges. I totally need to do a post purely about my badge collection; it's my pride and joy and it's amazing. Stay tuned.
How was everyone's new years eve/ first day of 2010? Smashing, I hope!

P.S. Because it was the first song I heard this year. If that isn't a good sign, I don't know what is.
